Another recipe
Jul. 6th, 2011 12:51 pmRecipe #29 ( for week 1 of term) was pretzels!
The recipe is one I found online and isn't entirely authentic. This one involved flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and a few other minot ingredients.

This is my misshapen lump of dough. I had to leave this to stand for an hour while the yeast did its magic.

The original lump of dough got divided into more lumps of dough, and rolled into logs.

These logs then became pretzel-shaped lumps of dough :-)

And this is the final result! golden-brown pretzel thingies!
But they're not quite right. I didn't add nearly enough salt to the recipe. They're also a bit.. Solid. Next time I do pretzels I'll try a recipe I found which involves boiling them to make sure they're softer. Hopefully that'll turn out better :-)
