Big Changes

nimthirielSo, we brought home a kitten. She's half Bengal, half Scottish Fold, all cuteness. Though she did yowl all the way home in the car. And pee in her box. And it went all down my leg. So now we need to clean the car.
Smudge is not impressed. He's been keeping to one end of the house and hissing at anything that smells of the little one. He appears a bit calmer now, though I don't know how long that will last.
Even though I know that, ultimately, he'll be happier with a companion, I still feel awful for putting him through this stress. I really hope that they come to terms with each other by the end of the week. I won't have Phil here all the time for help with supervision, and I don't particularly want to leave either of them alone. Tomorrow will be interesting.
