Resolutions are taking shape.

Ok, so I have some NY resolutions happening in my head.
1) Starting my 2nd recipe challenge
I really enjoyed doing it this year, so I'm doing it again next year, with a couple of minor modifications:
a) I will try to focus on one ingredient per month
b) I will do one dessert per month (which does not have to include that month's ingredient)
Part (b) should be fairly easy as I've got a stack of cake recipes from my mother-in-law. Part A should be interesting. My ingredient for January will be almonds, I've decided. My first recipe will be marzipan and my dessert for the month will be almond cake.
2) Project 365, or whatever it's called. I need to do more photography, so I'm going to do the whole one photo per day thing, which I'll post up on a weekly basis, probably on a Sunday. But first I need to get my camera sorted. It broke last week. If I don't have it either fixed or replaced in time for the start of January, then I'll just use my phone camera and my DSLR until then.
3) Standard get fit/stay fit thing, and I'm starting as follows:
a) I will not have any sweets or confectionery before dinner, with two exceptions: A thing I'm giong to tomorrow (which will involve home-made doughnuts), and my birthday. Once I'm used to this, I'll start limiting how many days/week I allow myself to have confectionery.
b) I will cycle or walk wherever possible, a feat that should be reasonably easy this summer given I don't have access to the car.
c) No hot chips when I eat out. If a meal I'm ordering comes with chips as standard, I will ask for it without. If whoever I'm with gets hot chips, YOU ARE NOT TO LET ME HAVE ANY. Quite seriously.
Chips that I grill at home are so infrequent that I'm not going to restrict that, as it's something I only do a couple of times each year anyway.
So, those are my goals for 2012! Wish me luck :-)
