Well, it's spring somewhere...

Anyway. I've spent most of the day so far tidying, cleaning, throwing out and relocating my stuff.

I've almost eliminated the need for one of my desks and I have thrown out several bags full of rubbish. I have a lot of stuff that's going to the Salovs tomorrow, as well.

I have a new shelf in the nook where my CPU used to sit, and that now houses my paper tray and the student work that I brought home. I've removed enough stuff that I now have a new storage space for all my photo albums and more room in the shelves above my computer desk, though I'm not yet sure what I'll put there.

Several of my drawers have a great deal more space in them, and once I've cleaned out a few more, made my non-computer desk redundant and taken the books under it to the Salvos, I'll start bugging my parents to get that new couch a bit more persistently.

The other thing I need to do is clear out UNDER my bed and get rid of some of these bags... I have too many bags. I'm really not sure how long all this will take, but I'm hoping to get it finished before the end of Term 2. I want a double bed, I want that really awesome mattress, and I want a tidy space damn it.

Doesn't it feel good to purge? That was part of my big plans for this week if we hadn't been stricken by the plague. I did manage to sort through Ivy's old clothing but not much else.

Although I'm envious of you in some ways when you've only got one room to worry about. :)

yeah, but you'd be amazed how much stuff there is!

I also have limited space to call Purgatory, where I put stuff that I'm not entirely sure what to do with :-p

Heh. I used to use laundry baskets when I had my own apartment. I'd enter one room and anything that didn't belong in that room went into a laundry basket destined for another room. But somehow at the end I'd always have half a laundry basket which I didn't know what do to with. :)

I know if I wasn't moving every 4 months for school I would have accumulated a lot more stuff. But constant moving teaches you to live lean.

Thankfully everyone's better and I can start cleaning now. Hooray!
