Doing things a little differently

I've created a Tumblr! This is where I'll be posting my photography challenge from now on :-) I haven't yet decided whether I'll move my recipe challenge to be there as well, but we'll see.

So, if you're interested in my development as a photographer, go there. I'll try to update it daily, and this week's photos (up to and including yesterday's) are already there :-)

So much for that idea...

This morning got off to a foggy start. I usually write these kinds of days off when I'm on holidays, because if I'm on holidays it means I'm also on a Ritalin break.

So I got up, bummed around a little. I did some dishes and the laundry, usual household stuff. I eventually decided that I should go to the University to hand in my forms, and that I would cycle in order to clear my head.

Now, a while ago I misplaced the main key to my bike. I still haven't found it. I'm convinced it's somewhere in the house because the bike was at home and you can't ride it without the key in the wheel lock. Thankfully, I have a spare key. I go out to the garage, I stop to look at how my grass seeds are going, I go to my bike, AND I DON'T HAVE THE SPARE KEY ON ME. 

It was in my hand. I considered attaching it to my house keys, but I don't want all that hanging off my bike. I HAD THE KEY, DAMMIT. I swear I could REMEMBER putting it in my pocket! Just like with the original key. Luckily, I found it on the floor of the study.

So I go back outside, I open the garage, and then there's this almighty crash as the Gods of Cycling take their revenge on me for not riding enough and BREAK MY GARAGE.

Part of the locking mechanism had fallen off, but I figure if I can close it then it can at least pretend to be locked. But no. It refused to budge and it screamed at me when I try.

A friend came over and helped me fix it a bit, but it's not in great shape. It seems to lean a bit and I'm scared to manipulate it. I called the agents, they'll have someone look at it. 

Hopefully it won't take as long as the gutters - that won't be done until the 23rd, and I called about that back in October.
