Ergh.

I need to harden the f up. I really do. I'm feeling so lazy. I don't want to do anything around the house, and all the places I want to go to are at least an hour away by public transport. I don't want to ride my bike because of how stupidly humid it is, and it would take even longer to get to where I want to go anyway. The end result now being that I'm sitting here, bored and restless, with nothing I really want to do. 

I could go into town, but I went yesterday. I've been to all my local shopping centres recently. I've been to all my local parks. I'm not feeling particularly social, so I don't want to invite anyone to hang out.

I don't want to play video games. I don't feel like baking. We have plenty of leftovers so I don't feel like cooking dinner later. I've done all the gardening I'd planned to do today.

Tomorrow I'm going to cycle into town, and after that I've made a Decision that I'll be dropping my husband off at work so that I have the option of the car, should I deem it necessary. If, say, I get to this hour of the day and want to go to Brighton beach, which would take me an hour and a half to get to by PT, over 2hrs by bike, but more like 30min if I drove.

I hate how tempting the car is, purely becuase things don't take as long to get to. 

I have a new thing!

For my birthday, my husband got me a new thing called Coffee Joulies. We found out about them through a friend last year while they were still a Kickstarter project.

They only arrived yesterday so I have only started using them today. I had to go in to Uni for some paperwork, so I took that and my "keep cup". I ordered a long macchiato and popped a joulie in. I then went and had an hour-long conversation with someone and the coffee actually stayed hot enough to drink the whole time! I ACTUALLY FINISHED A COFFEE.

Those of you who know me will know that the way to tell I've been having coffee is that you'll find a cup on a flat surface with about an inch of cold coffee left in it. I tend to forget it's there and, if I remember I was having it, it's too cold to drink by then. So my being able to finish a coffee is a bit of a miracle, especially given I was engrossed in conversation and it took nearly an hour!

So I'm pretty impressed :-)
