Doing the math

I've been sick, on average, once/month for the past 13 months. On average, each time I was sick it lasted for a week. This means 13 weeks of being sick.

This is about 3 months. I have spent about a quarter of the past year dealing with some sort of virus. No wonder I'm pissed off about it.

You've also been in a school environment which exposes you to a lot more viruses than you're used to, so unfortunately it's not all that surprising that you've caught more viruses.

Averaging being sick for a week each time though is concerning. When doing project resource estimations we average 10 sick days per person per year. We joke that no one is allowed to get sick in the summer, but otherwise 1 day a month is roughly par for the course. Of course some people have no sick days and others have more, but you're more than a couple of standard deviations from the norm if you've needed that many sick days. :(

Any news from the doctors what's going on?
