THE doctor who sparked the scare over the safety of the MMR vaccine for children changed and misreported results in his research, creating the appearance of a possible link with autism, a Sunday Times investigation has found.


Thank you, sir, for scaring the living daylights out of parents and increasing the possibility of epidemics of extremely preventable disease.

It gets worse. The vaccination rates in the UK have fallen from about 95 to 80% due to all this bollocks. As herd immunity is in the region of 97-95% (I'm remembering this figure off the top of my head), the question now had become one of when instead of if we get an outbreak.

So, you going to bring this up in science classes as a discussion point? :-D

There were other studies done before this which discredited his "findings".

Unfortunately, people are unbelievably stupid and will not believe that this juicy bit of "OMG BAD STUFF" is wrong.

It pisses me off.
